COVID-19 Update

We have made a number of changes to the way we operate to help ensure the health and safety of our members, guests and staff during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. These are contained in our COVID-19 Safety Plan which is available for viewing on request. Our current initiatives include the following:

COVIDSafe Conditions of Entry and Venue Capacity Limits

We have a list of COVIDSafe entry requirements that overlay our usual conditions of entry.  These are displayed and on our website – Click here to view them. Capacity limits on the total number of patrons allowed in the club as well as in each room within the venue may apply. Entry will be restricted if these caps are reached.

Anybody entering the club must have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination or have a medical exemption. Please have your proof in hand and ready to be sighted on entry. Valid forms of evidence are:

    • A COVID-19 certificate (digital or hard copy); or
    • An immunisation history statement (digital or hard copy).

People may access these documents through the Medicare Express Plus mobile app or with a Medicare online account (through myGov). A person who cannot access these technologies can call the Australian Immunisation Register on 1800 653 809 and ask them to send a statement to them. It can take up to 14 days to arrive in the post. Patrons may also use their Apple Digital Wallet or Google Pay to show their vaccination certificate.

A person who is not fully vaccinated may enter a club if they:

    • Are medically exempt or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 6 months and carry a medical Contraindication Certificate, Immunisation History Statement or Medical Clearance Notice; or
    • Are under the age of 16 and accompanied by a fully vaccinated household member.

Clubs cannot accept certificates which are not in the approved forms. For instance, a letter from a general practitioner or medical centre is not sufficient.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation.

Our Service Team

All staff have completed ‘COVID-19 Infection Control’ training as well as ‘in-house’ training specific to their individual work roles and job tasks to keep the environment safe. Staff are rostered to facilitate social distancing at their work stations so we appreciate your understanding if this impacts the speed of service. All service staff wear face masks for added protection.

Social Distancing, Respiratory and Hand Hygiene

COVIDSafe social distancing, respiratory and hand hygiene guidelines apply to patrons and staff. Signage is posted around the club to remind you of these requirements.  You may be approached by staff if you fail to comply with these guidelines and repeat offenders may be asked to leave the premises.

Mask wearing is currently mandatory for everyone indoors.

We have reconfigured the layout of some of our furniture and equipment to help patrons maintain a safe distance from one another.  Please assist us and protect yourself by trying to maintain a distance of 1.5m from other patrons and staff. We have markers on the floor to assist you in maintaining a safe distance in areas where you may be required to queue.

Availability of Hand Sanitiser

Please ask staff where the most convenient sanitising station is situated for your convenience. Washing hands with soap and water is highly recommended and these facilities are available in all our bathrooms throughout the club.

Increased Cleaning and Sanitising of ‘High Touch’ Surfaces

Our staff work consistently to maintain a high level of cleanliness and focus heavily on sanitising surfaces such as machine buttons, hand railings, door knobs and any other ‘high touch’ fittings, fixtures and surfaces. We have staff on duty who are specifically tasked with this responsibility.

Promotions and Entertainment

Some of our promotions and entertainment events have been suspended for the time being. Such activities will resume once it is safe to do so – Please keep an eye on our website for updates!

Monte Carlo, Bar and Restaurant Services

For your convenience, services offered in the Monte Carlo Room as well as our regular bar and cafe services are all available. Patrons are encouraged to remain seated for the most part while in the club.

The Crown Dragon Restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.

The Jubilee Brasserie is open 7 days for lunch and dinner.  Service modifications in place to further ensure your safety include:

  • Table service has been suspended in favour of a sanitised buzzer system.
  • Shared menus have been replaced with digital menu boards throughout the venue.
  • The use of condiment stations and table settings including salt and pepper shakers have been discontinued.  These items are available from staff on request.
  • All cutlery is sanitised, hygienically pouched with a napkin and provided to you at the time of ordering.

Food Safety

We take food safety and hygiene seriously.  Currently there is no evidence of food borne transmission being a significant pathway for spread of COVID-19 so our normal food safety guidelines apply.  Strict adherence to social distancing, respiratory and hand hygiene is maintained in food production areas.

These precautionary measures have been adopted to help ensure the safety of our patrons, staff and the broader community.  We will continue to monitor our activities and take advice from health authorities on additional measures that we can implement as part of a responsible community response.
